Well I've stepped up to the plate to develop www.SeattleMojo.com in conjunction with MetroMojo.com. They have great set of community sites that have developed over the past 18 months in the central region and this will be the first west coast city to launch.

Right now editorial content is low for SeattleMojo, but that will be corrected soon enough. There are some interesting options we'll be implementing on this site, so it will be a proving ground for some of our revolutionary ideas regarding online community. Right now we have a feature set that is very similar to Myspace.com, but our model will be focused around the local community and have a real world aspect to it as well.

The blogosphere is evolving, and so is my schedule

I’ve been busy lately working with a variety of clients in the blogosphere. It’s amazing the sheer number of creative individuals out there that want to have a voice heard and responded to.

In the past few months things have been exceedingly crazy and worthwhile. A new client here and another there, all asking "How do I?". Well, that's simple. Just ask me and I'll work my brain until something wonderful pops out.

Reaching your goals

In the last year I've been working on a variety of projects both personal and professional. One of the things I have noted is that none of them has been easy. I've personally realized that pushing harder has been more rewarding in a variety of endeavors. I've also come across a few individuals who are like-minded and it has been enjoyable, refreshing, and invigorating to share a common energy to push ahead.

To anyone out there- take a moment to stop.  Realize what you love in life and take action to reach it.

One of the great things about doing consulting work is it allows you to explore some of the things you love. It also exposes you to a variety of people who have good ideas and sometimes those people are what I refer to as "exceptional". These are people who have a little attitude, a touch of spunk, and the vision to see new ways of doing things.

One such person is Kevin Hoffberg and his ThinkSpot idea. I've been working with Kevin on some of the online portions of his idea. It's only been about two months since I first spoke with him- but in the short time he's managed to assemble a great team and make his idea a physical reality.

He officially launched the facility with a great party on the 17th of this month. The "energy" of everyone who had put forth effort into the project was great. I'm glad that I have had the opportunity to share part of the experience of ThinkSpot and if the reaction of all the a attendees says anything- he has a great shot at making his idea a new benchmark for the industry. If you are in the Seattle area and need a great place to hold a meeting- I suggest you check them out.

Online Management

"If you build it, they will come".

Sounds good, but it doesn't really work that way online. In fact I think of problem solving with that logic often in terms of being an illusion of the world, ready to break when the ball drops. Producing interesting content that keeps visitors returning for more takes a mix of attitude, usability, vision, purpose, and budget. It means drilling down through the psyche of everyone looking at what you are selling and providing them with something that benefits them, a compelling feeling that motivates them to step across the line and take action, and a fiscal talent for watching the bottom line.

This is an extremely hard balance. Even if you are the current king of your disciple there are a dozen competitors watching your example and learning from it. There has to be talent and energy moving you forward 24/7.

If you stop swimming you'll sink- fast.
